Ideas Generation

Ideas Generation

today we used popplet, to generate ideas for other 3d modelling unit. I went with the idea of 1950's

Street

The streets are a important thing, its sort of the same thing as buildings, but this is where the cars, bins, houses and all other things on the road.

Clothing is proberly the least important factor, that if I get it all in time and have some time left I will create a couple people. But I highly doubt it.

Old fashioned buildings
I wanted to get images get show all aspects of 1950's life, from the trains stations to the streets to the town and citys, I needed this so I could make the most acurate enviroment possible.

Cars
The cars are also quite important, if i have enough time I will want to create the cars that where around 1950's. The cars will be hard to make as they have alot of detail.

Making low poly object

Low poly
we created low poly building using images we found on the internet, the image below is a texture image and I then created a material in 3ds max and used it on the Cube.
This is the 3d version of the image above. I found this tutorial easy and also quite fun, you can have so many materials and make them into buildings so quickly.

Skyscraper

Sky Scraper
I found making the sky scraper was hard, I find 3d max a hard software to use.  I had already learned the tool in previous demos, so creating was hard, but I knew what to use and how to use it.

This is my building but within the same building duplicated.

Single building I made

Buildings for city

Building a road

Mood Boards

Mood Boards

This is my mood board for my 3d environment. I wanted to go with the style of 1950's. My city will be in the same style, old fashioned cars, streets and people. I really liked my mood board as the images used really show the 1950's well. In it shows streets, cars and the famous people around that time. All of that is important to create a realistic 3d model.

Dustbin Demo

Dustbin Tutorial
For the last couple of weeks we have been making a dustbin in 3d max. I found this tutorial challenging, this demo used alot of techniques, which I found hard to follow. But it was worth it at the end, as the end product was really cool, but it made you think. The smallest, part in a game like a dustbin has so many different parts, techniques.
